­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­– How important the municipal sector is for Meprozet? How many products of this type are sold every year, and what is their share in overall sales?

– The municipal sector is a promising area that is very important for our company. We have been operating in this sector for many years, supplying self-propelled slurry tankers, built-in tanks, and tanks installed on frames under hooks to the Polish and various foreign markets. At the same time, it is the sector that is really challenging to us, because the majority of products are designed according to individual needs of a given customer. Our designers are always involved in execution of such orders. Concerning sales, currently the municipal products have a share of over a dozen percent, although they have a potential for the increase in the future. We hope for the inflow of EU funds, which will enable communes to invest more in equipment of this type. The additional demand will also develop on the market, because currently you need to have an agreement concluded for collection of liquid waste from contained tanks. These requirements definitely cannot be met without purchasing of suitable machines, for example, those that available in our range.

– What are Meprozet Kościan plans for the municipal sector? Will you strive to further increase your activities in this segment?

– Due to customised solutions required by individual customers, for us the municipal sector is not only an attractive source of revenues, but also a stimuli for company development. In the future, we plan to even further develop this segment of our operations by modernising and supplying increasingly more specialist machines.

– Are there any plans to implement advanced combined pressure-suction units into production and, e.g. to establish in this product group a brand that is analogous to Rexager?

– Of course, production of modern tanks of complex and sophisticated functions is our aim, but in Poland the market for devices of this type is not very extensive.  On the other hand, work involving their appropriate promotion is necessary, to convince customers that choosing a more expensive, but technically advanced machine will be advantageous for them. This choice will result in better productivity, effectiveness of operations, optimised use of the machine pool owned, and meeting of imposed legal requirements, and this eventually means a significant cost reduction.
