Maschio Gaspardo: The Maschio Gaspardo Group returns into hands of the Maschio family

12.01.2023

Maschio brothers purchased over 132 thousand of shares plus further 68 thousand from regional financial companies, Friulia and Veneto Sviluppo. The company continues on its development path.

In April 2022, brothers Mirco and Andrea Maschio, C.E.O.s of Maschio Gaspardo and Maschio Holding, respectively, fully took over the control over their family company. In particular, Maschio Gaspardo purchased 132,744 of shares held by regional financial companies, Friulia and Veneto Sviluppo, while the parent company Maschio Holding purchased further 68 326 shares from Veneto Sviluppo.

The purchase of shares, possible due to the reliable financial status in recent years and a positive trend of recent months, supports the Group’s development and establishes foundations for the next stage of its development. Today, the share capital is owned by Maschio Holding (60.35%), Maschio Gaspardo (32.94%) and Friulia (6.71%), because this institutional investor purchased 27,020 shares from Maschio Holding.

Great satisfaction

These operations confirm ‘that the adopted strategy is correct, and we are able to effectively react to current challenges. The achieved objective results from the stable management and work of our employees in various geographical regions,’ explains Luigi De Puppi, Maschio Gaspardo C.E.O.

Mirco Maschio is also happy with the results, as in his opinion ‘transformation towards sustainable agriculture plays a fundamental role in the restart process. Our aim is to combine the long-term profitability with implementation of new technologies and care for the environment, and all this together with our employees’.

‘We have come this far’, adds Andrea Maschio, ‘because we improved the speed of our reaction to market inquiries due to a greater segmentation of the R&D Department and inclusion of new resources. Furthermore, we improved internal processes and invested in digitalisation, as well as in product development, with a particular focus on the equipment design and capacity’.

Successful restart

Andrea and Mirco Maschio purchased 41% Maschio Gaspardo shares in 2015. Since then, the plan for restarting operations has followed a strategy focused on basic operations and initiatives supporting growth. Following a successful 2020, the Group closed 2021 with a turnover of EUR 390 million and a net financial debt below EUR 70 million.

Excellent results are an effect of improving processes within the supply chain, optimising production capacities, reduction in the net current capital, and expansion into international markets. Today, Maschio distributes equipment in 114 countries, and its sales in foreign markets represent 85% of its turnover.
