The organizer of the competition is the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Agricultural Machines and Facilities, which, starting next year, organized competitions for agricultural machinery mechanics and high school students undergoing machine service training. This year’s STUDENT FOR A MEDAL competition is the second edition of this competition, which is intended for technical fields related to the construction and operation of machines and mechatronic system devices due to the use of agricultural machines. The aim of the competition is to encourage students to create development and creative activities that are related to mechanical engineering, and to promote students’ skills related to the education of engineering and technical sciences. As part of the Student for Medal competition, it is checked whether it has practical and practical applications in terms of information about updating and repairing working machines. It is worth paying attention to the winner of the first edition, which will take place in 2022, who took part in the international EuroSkills competition in Gdańsk in 2023, where he took 3rd place. It was a great success for the organizer, but above all for the participant who had the opportunity to test his skills against his peers from all over Europe. The success is indisputable and is the key to its launch.
This year’s competition will consist of two institutions:
Stage I: Online part consisting of 3 tests. To take them into account, you must register at www.studentnamedal.agroshow.pl and complete the first test. Registration and the first examination will be possible until May 26 this year. Subsequent tests will be available on the following dates: until May 26, 2024 and from May 27, 2024, take June 14, 2024. Each test consists of 20 questions, time to solve it is up to 20 minutes.
Stage II: 10 participants with the best results in the online part, participation in the final, which will take place during the AGRO SHOW exhibitions in Bednary on September 20-22. The final part of the index and the tasks that constitute the diagnostics and repair of agricultural machines.
For the final winners, the main prize:
– 1st place – cash prize of PLN 7,000 gross
– 2nd place – cash prize of PLN 5,000 gross
– 3rd place – cash prize of PLN 3,000 gross
Additional benefits: The competition winners last year. will take part in the SkillsPoland competition, the qualifying round for the international EuroSkills professional competition, which will take place in autumn 2025 in Denmark.
