On April 26, 2018 in Toruń, an Ordinary General Meeting of members of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Agricultural Machines and Facilities was held. During the meeting, important organisational changes took place in the organisation, including the most important one – the change in the Management Board of the Chamber.
Every year, members of companies associated in the Chamber participate in the meeting. This year, the turnout was exceptionally high. 112 people representing 68 companies participated in the meeting. Last year was special for the Chamber, for the first time in the history it was joined by as many as 21 companies. Currently, the Chamber associates 95 companies, of which 12 are ordinary members, 81 are extraordinary members and 2 companies are associated as standard members.
An important item on the agenda was a voting concerning the Chamber statutes. After its voting, the mandate of current members of the Management Board: Aleksandra Gralik, Józef Dworakowski and Wiesław Kujawa, who lead the Chamber from the moment of its creation – the founding meeting in 1998 and its registration a year later, expired.
According to the newly accepted Chamber Statutes, the Management consists of the President and the Vice-President – Managing Director, chosen by the Meeting from amongst the members. Company representatives participating in the General Meeting proposed a candidacy of Józef Dworakowski who decided to stand as a candidate, and was appointed a President for the next year in the open voting. Currently, the Chamber President is chosen for a one-year term, with a possibility to hold the office for a maximum 4 terms.
According to the new Statutes, the Chamber Board was granted more extensive competencies and roles, and it will be more involved in its works and providing opinions for crucial decisions. The Board consists of 12 ordinary members, 4 representatives of extraordinary members and one representative of standard members. It is chaired by the Board Chairman, with Mr Artur Szymczak appointed to that position, and two vice-chairmen: Paweł Bawolski and Wojciech Bury.
