Precision, economy, capacity and quality, these trends are clearly noticeable in the today’s agriculture. It is the thing of the future, which is increasingly noticeable in the range of machine manufacturers. And also in the range of Promodis, the dealers cooperative.
Talking about the economy of production, we should not forget about the issue of quality. It is worth its weight in gold. Especially, when it is available at a reasonable price. It is the main principle followed by Promodis in its activities. Here, you will find a complete range of machines, but also spare parts, greases, and oils. The company’s range also includes own brands.
‘ Our three own brands are: Cargo, Promagro and Diadem. Their common factor is high quality. We assist our suppliers in planning and purchases of materials, and purchase large quantities of their products in advance. This way, a farmer receives truly excellent product, brand, design and functionality at a price very advantageous to them’, emphasises Krzysztof Kinstler, the Trade Director at Promodis.
The first of the listed brands are CARGO trailers. The range offered in the Polish market covers 13 trailers in total, including the recently presented 3 new products: a three-axial shell trailer S220, a 10-tonnes platform for straw bales P100D, which can be joined together with another such platform, and a construction trailer S180WB of a technical loading capacity of 18 tonnes with the rocker suspension system and very robust chassis.
Promagro are storage tanks for fuel oil and AdBlue. They are supplied by Kingspan, which manufactures them using a special rotomoulding technology, so they are much more durable. The Diadem brand means meshes, films, strings, batteries, chemical formulations, oils and lubricants, welders, electrodes, cutting discs and various types of working and warning lamps. Among them, meshes and films for bales should be noted. They are unique in this segment of products in the Polish market, mainly due to their durability.
Unique precision, economy and PPP consumption lower even by 95%
The Promodis range also includes Ara from Ecorobotix, the only one in the market, smart and exceptionally precise sprayer. It offers three modes of operation: first for the use of non-selective herbicides – solely for weeds, second for selective herbicides, and third for insecticides, fungicides and liquid nutrients – solely for crop plants. This last mode allows the reduction in the PPP consumption even by 95%.
Ara’s precision and effectiveness results from the use of a special algorithm that recognises a crop plant on a basis of about 12 thousand photographs uploaded into the system. With 3D and RGB cameras, Ara takes more photos during each course, thus further improving effectiveness and precision of its operation. It is artificial intelligence that learns fast.
In this spring season, about 100 of these modern machines is already working in Europe, including one in Poland. It is owned by Anderwald, the Promodis Group shareholder. ‘It can operate at a speed of 7 km/h, day and night. Its actual daily productivity is 40–50 ha‘, says Marek Wieczorek, a Sales Manager at Anderwald.
Ferrari at Polish farms
Ferrari GrowTech offers mainly (though not solely) planters for vegetables. We can start with presenting the F Max model and its larger sister, Multipla. ‘ F Max has planting sections with a rotor – one for each row of vegetables. A characterising feature of Multipla is that one person operates a rotor, which plants two rows simultaneously. This mechanism rotates clockwise gradually, with an intermittent movement. It is a unique and the only so precise planter with this gradual movement available in the market’, emphasises Kinga Chabier, the Promodis brand specialist.
The fully automatic planter from this Italian manufacturer, Futura, is also available in the Promodis range. In brief – it is the highest precision of planting, an extensive range of seedlings size (even up to 18 cm), and the operating rate of up to 8000 plants per hour for each row. It is a real Ferrari among vegetable planters.
